Songs Of Bajrangbali

Bollywood director, Chandrakant directed movie titled ‘Bajrangbali’ was released in the year 1976. The film belongs to the mythelogical and fantasy genre and it was starred by Dara Singh, Biswajeet and Shashi Kapoor in lead roles. Also Chandrakant produced the movie and evergreen and hit music in the movie was given by famous duo Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah, popularly known as Kalyanji-Anandji. Other artists like Moushumi Chatterjee, Mehmood, Prem Nath, Sumitra Devi, Ajay, Dulari, Jayshree Gadkar, Alankar Joshi, Shahi Kapoor, Durga Khote, Randhawa, Asit Sen etc also played significant roles in the movie. Songs of the movie were rendered by Asha Bhosle, Mahendra Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar and Aziz Naza who gave their melodious and soulful voice to the songs. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

The movie highlights Bhagwan Shri Bajrangbali who was born in a Vanar family in Kishigandha. His mother named Anjani (Durga Khote) loves him too much. Also he had two brothers named Sugreev and Bali. In his childhood, Bajrangbali is given the power of flying by his father, Pawan who is the ‘God of Wind’. Later he flies to the sky to swallow the sun on one occasion. Later Surya Dev gives him training and in return he disciplines Shani Dev with the help of Mangal Dev. Later Bajrangbali (Dara Singh) goes to help Sugreev when Bali abducts Sugreev’s wife. It is then Anjani summons Bajrangbali who has gone in the forests for Shri Ramchandra (Biswajeet).

Later Ram kills Bali and ensures that Sugreev is reinstated as the King of Kishigandha. It is then Sugreev agrees to help Ramchandra as his wife named Sita (Moushumi Chatterjee) has been abducted by Ravan (Prem Nath). Ram sends Bajrangbali in search of Sita Maa and soon he arrives in Lanka. There Ravan’s son named Akshaye (Shahi Kapoor) confronts him and as a result gets killed. Ravan becomes furious after listening the death of his son and orders to fire the Bajrangbali’s tail. Soon Bajrangbali sets Lanka afire with his tail. Later Ramchandra and his army makes a bridge to reach Lanka’ land and to fight with Ravan.
