Songs Of Kalabaaz

Kalabaaz is an action and drama movie which was directed by Ashok Roy. The lead starcast in this movie were evergreen actor Dev Anand, Pradeep Kumar and Zeenat Aman and it was released in the year 1977. Also the supporting yet important roles were played by Asrani, Mohammed Ali, Tarun Ghosh, A.K. Hangal, Ambika Johar, Hercules, Dev Kumar, Lalita Kumari, Sujit Kumar, Mohan Sherry, Maruti Rao etc without whome, the success of this movie could not be imagined. Music in the movie was rendered by famous duo Kalyanji-Anandji who are famous for their magic and melodious compositions. Playback singers like Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar gave their soulful voice to the songs whereas the story of the movie was written by Tarun Ghosh and produced by Yash Kohli. the songs of the movie are listed below:

Evergreen actor, Dev Anand has played another romantic and action oriented role of Vijay in the movie. He who lives a poor lifestyle and is working at a circus named ‘Daredevil Circus’ as a trapeze artist. This circus is run by a man named G.D. Sapru (Pradeep Kumar). Vijay is so confident in his task that he always performs it very correctly and the spectators always want to see him again and again. He also has another partner named Radha (Zeenat Aman) who is a trapeze artist too and also the daughter of G.D. Sapru. She is also famous by another name, Lisa. Later one day both of them decide to perform another daredevil act without any safety net support to break their fall. During the performance, Radha misses Vijay’s hands to hold and she falls down to the ground.

Soon Radha is hospitalized where they find that he is seriously wounded. After a long time, she recovers but is informed that her face is completely disfigured. Therefore she does not want to show her face to Vijay and goes abroad forever. Meanwhile Vijay is approached by a group of Hindu priests who want him to locate two statues of Bhagwan Shri Kishan and Devi Maa Radha. For this, he has to cover mountainous region between India and Burma. He agrees for this job and accompanied by Mangu (Tarun Ghosh), Changu (Asrani) and Sandoz (Hercules). Later Vijay meets a priest who is about to die. He tells him the secret location of the statues and passes away. What Vijay does not know that he is not the only one after those statues.
